Here is a recipe for homemade fish fry:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound white fish fillets (such as cod, haddock, or tilapia)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Cut the fish fillets into desired size pieces.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the milk into a separate shallow dish.
  4. Dip the fish pieces into the milk, then coat them in the flour mixture.
  5. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F.
  6. Carefully add the coated fish pieces to the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Remove the fish from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with the remaining fish pieces.
