To make cheesecake at home, you will need the following ingredients:
24 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
For the topping:
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (162°C).
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the pan.
Bake the cheesecake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and vanilla extract. Spread the mixture over the top of the cheesecake.
Return the cheesecake to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Enjoy your homemade cheesecake!
