How to make French fries?

To make French fries, you will need:

Potatoes
Vegetable oil
Salt
Here is a simple recipe to follow:

Wash and cut the potatoes into thin wedges. You can leave the skin on or peel the potatoes, depending on your preference.

Place the potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for about 30 minutes. This will help to remove some of the starch and make the fries more crisp.

Preheat your fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) or heat about 3 inches of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot until a thermometer inserted in the oil reaches 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel.

Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in batches and fry them for 3-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp.

Remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon or a mesh spider strainer and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

Sprinkle the fries with salt while they are still hot. Serve the fries immediately. Enjoy!
